This role oversees inspection, testing, documentation and corrective actions, mentors quality staff, and partners with production, maintenance and supply chain to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with HACCP and food manufacturing best practices.\n\nMUST BE HACCP Certified\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupervise and coach the quality team to perform inspections, sampling, and testing according to established procedures and schedules.\nMaintain and enforce food safety programs (HACCP, GMPs, Sanitation) and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.\nReview production records, quality data and lab results to identify trends, non-conformances and areas for improvement.\nLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for quality incidents and deviations.\nConduct routine audits and inspections of production processes, equipment, and facilities; prepare clear reports and follow up on findings.\nCoordinate with production and maintenance to resolve quality issues quickly and minimize product impact.\nManage product hold/release decisions and oversee quarantine/rework activities with accurate documentation.\nTrain production and quality staff on quality policies, sampling plans, proper documentation, and food safety practices.\nSupport new product introductions and process changes by providing quality input and risk assessments.\nMaintain traceability and recall readiness by ensuring accurate records and participating in mock recall exercises.\n\nQualifications\n\n5+ years experience in quality roles within food manufacturing,\nWorking knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA), and experience implementing food safety programs.\nStrong understanding of microbiological and chemical testing methods, sampling plans, and quality control procedures.\nExperience with CAPA, root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone), and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train staff and collaborate across departments.\nDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills and proficiency in quality documentation and electronic record systems.\nAbility to work flexible hours and be present on the production floor when needed; forklift or other certifications a plus.\n\nBenefits\n\n- Medical Dental and Vision\n\n- 401k\n\n- PTO\n\n-Yearly Bonus\n\n- For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
