The Engineering Technician must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for following SOP's and established techniques.\nResponsibilities:\nThe Engineering Technician will apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge to design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation. The Engineering Technician will also be responsible for electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions and will work under the general direction of engineering staff.\nQualifications:\nAn Associate's degree in Electronics Technician or equivalent experience in addition to at least ten (10) years of experience in a power source laboratory is required\nExperience with schematics & drawings\nMust possess experience reading and understanding electrical schematics\nMust be able to work and learn in a fast-paced environment where work is 75% electrical related testing and equipment setup, usage and teardown and 25% is environmental/mechanical testing/equipment setup and usage\nIntermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint\nAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts\nStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team\n\nPhysical Demands:\nMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds\nMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time\nMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically\n\nSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance but candidates that currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level are highly encouraged to apply.
