You will oversee a team of data engineers focused on building scalable, modern data platforms that serve as the foundation for analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives. Your expertise in data engineering, cloud technologies, and strategic leadership will drive the success of our enterprise data capabilities.\nHybrid – in the corporate office 2–3 days a week.\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities\nBuild and lead a high-performing team of data engineers and AI/ML resources.\nLead the development of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support enterprise-wide analytics and AI/ML use cases.\nGuide the implementation of cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, and enterprise data warehouses.\nCollaborate with architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making.\nProvide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members.\nFoster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and excellence.\nEvaluate team performance and establish performance goals, conducting regular performance reviews.\nDevelop work plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of milestones and objectives.\nPartner with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and success criteria.\nEnsure secure and compliant data access and usage across the organization.\nCollaborate with solution architects to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of data platforms.\nMinimum Qualifications\nMust be a minimum of 18 years of age or older\nMust pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable\nPreferred Qualifications\n7+ years of related experience; 3–5 in a leadership or team lead capacity\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field\nProven experience in systems development and project management\n5+ years of experience in data engineering with a solid understanding of cloud platforms, data lake architecture, and enterprise data warehousing\nPreferred experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.”\nStrong collaboration skills with experience in developing and implementing governance processes that enable other teams while gaining buy-in and ensuring compliance\nExperience with data integration tools and technologies, including API integration, Alteryx, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), or Azure Data Factory\nFamiliarity with data security, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards\nStrong ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment\nExperience managing a remote team, including both onshore and offshore resources\nStrong leadership and mentoring skills to guide data engineers\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decision-making\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders\nHybrid – in the corporate office 2 to 3 days a week\nPreferred experience with Power BI, including semantic model design, DAX optimization, and enabling self-service analytics for end users.\nCore & Main is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
