The person will work with AWS based cloud application infrastructure built using latest open source technologies such as Kafka, Elastic Cache, Docker, Ansible, Terraform.Responsibilities/FunctionsCreate and manage cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable and highly available, on AWS.Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring and analysis of cloud infrastructure.Review and manage security of our cloud infrastructureHarden security and operating system for Tablo deviceDevelop reports on health of operationsEnsure proper policies and procedures are in placeProvide technical direction to the teamTroubleshoot problems pertaining to cloud infrasture and systemsInfluence technology decisions as a member of our engineering leadershipCreate, support and optimize CI/CD pipelines.Automate AWS infrastructure deployment through code, using CloudFormation/Terraform/OpsWork/Ansible, etc.Requirements/QualificationsExpert on using cloud services like AWS servicesExpert in cloud security10+ years of experience in infrastructure and security management3+ years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, IAM, Security Groups, Route53, S3, etc)Experience with automation/configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, OpsWorks, etc) and CI/CD systemsExperience with virtualization and containerization preferably with Docker, ECS, Kubernetes.Experience with development tools like Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, and deploying applications on AWS.Familarity with configuring Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies, Firewall.Experience working with relational databases: PostgresAbility to use a wide variety of open source technologiesStrong coding experience with Python or other scripting languageStrong background in Linux/Unix Networking and AdministrationKnowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available serviceEver-curious and eager/able learnerStrong written and verbal communication skills.
