This is a hands-on, client-facing technical role for someone who combines strong Java development skills with healthcare interoperability experience and the ability to lead technical implementations.You’ll work directly with customers and internal engineering, product, architecture, and support teams to design, configure, troubleshoot, and deliver scalable healthcare technology solutions.What You’ll DoPartner directly with customers throughout technical implementation projectsConfigure platforms, develop scripts, troubleshoot issues, and design technical solutionsProvide technical and architectural guidance during implementationsBuild and support solutions using Java, Spring, REST APIs, SQL, Git, JavaScript, JSON, and XMLWork with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 v2 and/or FHIRCollaborate with engineering, product, solution architecture, implementation, and support teamsTroubleshoot complex application, integration, and implementation issuesBalance multiple customer projects and technical priorities simultaneouslyProvide technical guidance and support to other team membersParticipate in an after-hours on-call rotation as neededSupport technical responses for RFIs and RFPsStay current with healthcare technology, interoperability standards, and industry best practicesWhat We’re Looking For5+ years of professional Java development experienceStrong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, REST, SQL, and Git3+ years designing, developing, and delivering software solutionsProfessional experience with HL7 v2 and/or FHIRExperience working within healthcare technology or healthcare systemsExperience delivering or implementing software solutions for customersStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsConfidence working directly with customers and leading technical discussionsAbility to explain technical decisions and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritiesNice to HaveCCDA experienceKubernetes and DockerKafka, ActiveMQ, or other messaging technologiesMongoDBJavaScript and/or PythonAWS or AzureExperience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or iterative delivery methodologiesDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related fieldCompensation$90,000–$135,000 annually upon conversion to permanent employment, depending on experience and seniority.This opportunity will begin as a W2 or 1099 contract with the expectation of converting to a permanent position.No C2C or sponsorship is available.The Ideal CandidateYou’re not just a Java developer.
