Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Quality Control Active CabinetPOSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for ensuring that our Active Cabinets meet the established standards of quality and functionality. Ensure electrical safety in the Active Cabinet Test Area. Develop and document troubleshooting processes. Manage and maintain calibration for all Test Equipment.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESActive Cabinet TestWork with 240V AC and -48V DC power systems to turn up cabinets for test.Follow process instructions and quality guidelines to complete Functional Test of Active Cabinets.Troubleshoot and correct Test Failures.Document Test Failures and Train Assembly Technicians on Test Failure modes.Learn simple coding to develop Functional Test programs/procedures for new Active Cabinets.Ability to work independently and accept work direction from Manufacturing Engineer Team, Leads, Supervisor and co-workers.Quality FocusBe flexible and prioritize work orders.Crosstrain in all department work cells.Perform tests and use special equipment to ensure package and product qualityOperate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safelyClean equipment and area during and after shiftsMaintain clean work area through good housekeeping practicesFollow process guidelines and expedite quality concerns to managementWork with production/maintenance as necessaryFollowing Standard of Operations Procedures (SOP’s)Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being producedMeasure products with ruler, calipers, gauges, or micrometersAccept or reject finished items according to quality management systemRemove all products and materials that fail to meet specificationsReport inspection and test dataMonitor quality standards for all manufactured productsRecord the results of inspections through test reports.Ability to verify and validate calibration statues on equipment.Ability to identify and address non-conforming products, processes, and equipment.Contributes to a cooperative, positive team environment.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Ability to identify colors, and strong eye-hand coordination.Operating testing instruments preferredGeneral assembly experience,Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Able to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work with a wide variety of part sizes and weightsExtensive dexterity and hand, wrist, and arm movementAbility to read and understand written instructions, basic arithmetic skill.Strong communication and problem-solving skill.Experience with Microsoft Office Suites and basic computer skillsContinuous improvement mindsetChange Management mindsetSafety mindsetBasic electric testing conceptHOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday, 8 hours shift, (6am to 6pm) (With flexible start time)BENEFITS for full-time:Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits.100% company paid Short-term and Long-term disability insurance coverage.100% company paid Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance coverage.100% company paid Business Travel Accident (BTA) insurance.100% company paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Additional voluntary benefits are offered.401K plan: Maximum match is 4.5% of the first 6% of contribution.Employee Stock Purchase Plan.Clearfield's Time Off Policy includes Personal Time Off (PTO) beginning at three weeks annually.
