This position requires close collaboration with engineers, operations teams, vendors, and shop employees to ensure timely material deliveries and support smooth production processes. You will also interact with customers and upper management, helping drive cost savings, efficiency, and innovation.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct extensive research to identify cost-effective products, materials, and sourcing solutions.\nStay up to date with current manufacturing trends.\nCoordinate with procurement for the purchase of materials and supplies.\nOversee project progression through Asana.\nDraft, review, and maintain contracts and accurate records.\nAnalyze and solve problems using strong mathematical and analytical skills.\nDesign systems to identify, purchase, maintain and analyze usage rates of shop equipment.\nUse Microsoft suite and computer programs proficiently for documentation and reporting.\nCommunicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.\nRun work order performance reports, labor reports, and material reports to keep track of jobs.\nManage inventory and issue materials for shop floor. Create shop orders.\nConduct FATs and other inspections of the equipment and incoming materials.\nExperience in project management is highly desirable.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field, a master's degree is preferred.\n10 years' experience in shop experience and project engineering or a similar role.\nExperience with ERP systems.\nMust have had a position on a shop floor that welds, polishes, machines, and assembles capital powder equipment.\nKnowledge with CNC equipment and programming, manual machining equipment, welding equipment, fabrication equipment, water jet, cranes, etc.\nHeld a supervisory roll. Hiring, terminating, disciplining employees.\nStrong organizational and recordkeeping skills.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. Must reside within the New Jersey area or within commuting distance.\nPlease Note: GEMCO does not offer remote work, relocation assistance, or visa sponsorship.
