Directs the development of annual operating plans, departmental budgets, monthly/quarterly forecasts, cost reduction initiatives/recommendations and profitability.\n\nWhat you will be doing\nSuccessfully completes monthly closing cycles to properly reflect the financial position of the plant - profit & loss, capital base and cash from operations.\nDirects and oversees monthly physical inventories.\nProvides financial analysis support/guidance to all line managers and Plant Manager.\nDirects and completes the planning, forecasting and budgeting processes of the operation.\nMonitors the financial policies, practices and procedures of the operation\nEnsures the necessary internal controls (and compensating controls) to safeguard the\nCompany's Assets and adheres to the company’s financial management policies.\nDirects the activities and provides leadership to the procurement employees of the operation, ensuring all Company Values are inherent in daily performance of responsibilities.\nManage capital spending requests, including calculating payback and developing sound business cases to present to management requesting capital funds.\nProvides financial and manufacturing analysis of both a recurring and ad-hoc nature to management outside of the operations.\nWhat will make you successful?\n\nRequired Education/Experience:\nBachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance.\nMinimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus in cost accounting and managerial experience\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience in systems such as: Oracle, SAP, AS400, Hyperion, ADP, Ultimate, full ERP capabilities\n\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\nCMA or CPA a plus\nEqual opportunities\n\nHydro in North America is an Equal Opportunity Employer where all phases of employment are based strictly upon the qualifications of the individual as related to the work requirements of the position.
