{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"28dcfce790bc623cbfb3ed3d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/28dcfce790bc623cbfb3ed3d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/28dcfce790bc623cbfb3ed3d","title":"Lead Solar Installer","description":"Lead Solar Installer Job Description\r\nClassification/Position Type:\r\nNon-Exempt/Full-Time/Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (40 Hours/Week) with occasional evening and weekend overtime.\r\nReports To\r\nLead Solar Installer\r\nOverview\r\nWorking under the direct supervision of the Operations Director, the Lead Solar Installer will be responsible for the planning, direction and coordination of daily activities pertaining to solar installation and maintenance of an assigned project in accordance with company guidelines.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nThe Lead Solar Installer will also be responsible for the oversight and training of solar crews on each project as well as (but not limited to) the following duties:\r\nResponsible for accurately mapping out the placement of components based on provided diagrams and ensuring the system is effectively sealed against weather conditions, following safety codes and manufacturer specifications.\r\nEnsure all insurance certificates and any relevant workers compensations statutes are in place prior to the commencement of work.\r\nEvaluate specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates, as well as any necessary staffing requirements for each phase of the project.\r\nConduct thorough testing and ground measurement post installation and make any needed adjustments to ensure proper functionality.\r\nInterprets specifications and company policies to subordinates and/or contractors and enforces safety regulations.\r\nAnalyze and resolve job site conflicts including, but not limited to, employee complaints and/or grievances.\r\nCollaborate and assist Project Managers with site inspections, permitting, as well as establishing per site budgets.\r\nEnsure proper panel positioning and alignment for optimal energy production.\r\nResponsible for accurate labeling, installing, and terminating electrical wiring and/or connections.\r\nResponsible for maintaining open and effective communication with subordinate supervisory personnel, regarding all activities within each job while ensuring occupational health and safety of all SEL Construction employees, subcontractors, project teams, clients, guests, and assets in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, departmental and company policies, as well as industry standards and practices.\r\nMaintain and promote an organized job site and/or working environment.\r\nMaintain current and valid certifications as required by SEL Construction and deemed necessary by safety, local, state, and federal laws.\r\nCore Competencies and Qualifications\r\n1 or more years experience as a COMMERCIAL Solar Crew Lead REQUIRED\r\n5 total years working in the COMMERCIAL Solar Industry REQUIRED\r\nStrong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.\r\nProficient in the use of basic hand and power tools\r\nCritical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively work in a team environment.\r\nThe ability to demonstrate exemplary work ethics.\r\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\r\nValid Driver License and clean driving record Pre-Employment Driving History Will Be Pulled\r\nTravel Requirements\r\nThis position will require frequent, mandatory short and long-distance travel. The ability to travel is mandatory.\r\nWork Environment\r\nWhile performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
