Description
Job Purpose: To produce quality products by blending raw materials into finished products based upon written formulary instruction and processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be trained and experienced on mixers, pumps and tanks in all batch-making areas except the R-Guard STPE Room.
Process batches in accordance with formulary sheet.
Effectively communicate with Plant Manager, Coordinator and Line Leaders as to the progress of batches.
Responsible for raw material storage/inventory.
Clean-up and maintenance of mixers, pumps and tanks.
Pulling samples for quality control.
Raw material off loads (acids, caustic, Ludox and Roplex).
Wearing appropriate protective equipment and following all safety precautions.
Responsible for reporting leaks and spills to management.
Perform other duties as assigned, if qualified, to meet business demands.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must be proficient in the safe operation of a forklift and its maintenance. Certification required.
Must be proficient with work procedures, methods of operations, and equipment.
Must have knowledge of safety procedures and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) that is required by difference chemicals.
Must have experience with mixing technologies; batch and process times for each product.
Must be able to motivate a team environment.
Must show initiative and be able to tackle problems or situations by arriving at a proper solution with minimum guidance.
Must be accurate and thorough during all stages of product manufacturing.
Must be self-motivated and able to keep up with production demands.
Must be able to communicate effectively and interact well with a variety of personalities within a production environment.
Must be flexible and willing to help others when requested.
Must be able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Due to the nature of our business, the ability to understand, read and write English fluently is required for safety reasons.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORKING CONDITION & ENVIRONMENT
This position requires exposure to various chemicals in a production environment. Exposure to dust, vapors, gases, and chemicals is probable and personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Production area is not an air conditioned environment but is equipped with adequate air flow handling equipment and ventilation system. Production area is heated during the winter months.

EDUCATION - CERTIFICATION
High School Diploma or its equivalent.
