This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced environment dedicated to innovation and quality.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC foam cutting machines, including programming and tooling adjustments to meet specificationsInterpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine cutting parameters and ensure accuracyProgram CNC machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for efficient productionPerform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensionsConduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtimeFollow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve process efficiencyMaintain detailed documentation of machine setups, production runs, and quality control inspectionsSkillsProficiency with CNC control systems and CNC programming techniquesExperience with CNC tooling selection and setup for foam materials as well as metal machining when applicableAbility to read mechanical blueprints, schematics, and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) standards accuratelyMechanical knowledge related to machining tools, geometry, tooling fixtures, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and bore gaugesFamiliarity with lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and reduce wasteStrong math skills for precise measurement calculations and quality assurance in machining processesExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues efficientlyJoin us at DESAPRO where your skills will contribute to innovative solutions that protect critical systems worldwide.
