As a General Operator at JT Russell & Sons, you will have the opportunity to safely operate various pieces of equipment to achieve precise location and grading as outlined in the plans. This position requires a proactive and safety-conscious individual who is eager to learn and grow within our energetic and professional team.\nA valid driver's license or commercial license is preferred for this onsite role in Conover, NC.\nRequirements for this Grading Operator job To excel in this role at JT Russell & Sons, candidates must possess a strong foundation in operating earth-moving equipment such as dozers and backhoes, with at least 2 years of experience in the field. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety standards is crucial, along with the ability to maintain, inspect, and clean equipment efficiently. The successful candidate will demonstrate a keen eye for detail, situational awareness, and a conscientious work ethic to uphold a safe working environment. Physical capabilities, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 90 pounds, and navigating uneven surfaces, are essential.\nPrior experience in grading, reading grade stakes and plans, and a respectful demeanor towards colleagues, customers, and the public are highly valued.
