Software Change Manager (SCM) SME | Freelance Contract | Fully Remote (Europe)Explore Group are supporting a global consulting client on a large-scale mainframe modernisation programme and are looking to engage an experienced Software Change Manager (SCM) SME on a long-term freelance basis.This is a fully remote opportunity for consultants based across Europe, working on enterprise application migration projects involving IBM DBB, Git and IDD technologies.The RoleYou'll act as the SCM subject matter expert, supporting clients through migration and modernisation initiatives, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting expertise, and hands-on delivery across complex mainframe environments.Key RequirementsStrong background in z/OS, Mainframe Systems Programming or Application DevelopmentExperience with Endevor and SCM migration projectsHands-on experience with IBM DBB, Git and IDDStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with Groovy scripting and YAMLGood understanding of Git repositories, branching and CI/CD pipelinesComfortable working directly with customers and delivering technical guidanceStrong communication skills - English SpeakingContract Details12-month rolling contractFully remoteEurope-based candidates onlyImmediate start preferredIf you'd like to be considered, please apply directly or send your CV to lewis.dorling@exploreltd.com
