Through hands-on training, mentorship, and a culture of internal promotion, we empower you to reach your full potential and contribute to projects that truly matter.\nJob Summary\nSummary:\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Buyer Direct located in Dallas, TX.\nReporting to the Sr Supply Chain Manager the Buyer Direct This role will be coordinating activities involved with procuring direct materials, components and equipment.\n\nResponsibilities:\nMaintaining relations with the suppliers.\nPlacing orders for necessary raw materials and purchased parts according to the requirements of the production.\nReceiving and handling the confirmations.\nChecking the purchase orders and modifying them according to the changes in the production plan with the help of the Shortage List and the Open Purchase Order List.\nTracking shipments, urging them if needed.\nRegular, weekly check of the stocks, avoiding overstock.\nMinimizing the risk of obsolescence with the help of the weekly check of the obsolete report.\nCorrespondence with the freight forwarders, warehouses, and in case organizing the transportation.\nDealing with claims, settling debit and credit issues.\nFiling and recording all necessary documents.\nChecking the inventory of critical materials (personally if needed) according to the Shortage List.\nGetting in touch with the right warehouse personnel and having the discrepancy modified if there is any inventory discrepancies.\nHandling purchasing data privacy.\nAssuring all active components according to production needs, in time, for the accord price in the request.\nReviews requisitions and MRP output.\nConfers with vendors to obtain product information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.\nOrders, reschedules and cancels material based on requisitions and MRP output.\nMaintains procurement records such as items purchased, costs, delivery and inventories.\nManages supplier to price, delivery and quality expectations and escalates when appropriate.\nApproves invoices for payment.\nInvestigation inventory levels.\nMonitors the movement of materials through the production cycle.\nConducts quarterly supplier reviews.\nMaintains procurement records, reports and metrics.\n\nQualifications:\nTypically requires a minimum of 4 years of procurement experience.\nUse of the following tools may be required: Working usage of Word, Excel and Power Point, English language knowledge, data entry, ten-key, spreadsheet (PC), ERP software.\nAbility to read, research and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.\nAbility to effectively present information and acknowledges to questions from groups.\nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nAbility to apply common sense comprehension to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
