This role ensures materials are properly received, stored, tracked, and delivered to support project timelines efficiently and cost effectively. Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily material handling and logistics operations across job sites or yard locationsSupport the Materials Manager in planning, organizing, and executing material control strategiesEnsure accurate tracking of inventory, receipts, issues, and transfers using Excel and company systemsMonitor material usage to minimize waste and prevent shortages or overstock situationsCoordinate deliveries, pickups, and transportation of materials and equipmentOversee loading/unloading activities and ensure proper handling procedures are followedMaintain organized and efficient storage areas, yards, and warehousesLead and direct material handlers, drivers, and support personnelEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsCommunicate effectively with project teams, vendors, and logistics providersIdentify and resolve material discrepancies or issues in a timely mannerGenerate and maintain reports related to inventory levels, usage, and material status QualificationsProven experience in materials management, logistics, or warehouse supervision (construction or industrial environment preferred)Previous leadership or foreman-level experience requiredStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (tracking, reporting, data management)Solid computer skills, including experience with inventory or ERP systemsStrong organizational and problem solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and team leadership skillsKnowledge of material handling procedures and safety practices5–10+ years in materials management, warehousing, or logisticsPreferred SkillsExperience working in large scale construction or industrial projectsFamiliarity with inventory control systems and material planning processesAbility to analyze data and provide actionable insights to managementWork EnvironmentCombination of field, yard, and office-based workMay require extended hours or weekend work based on project demandsBenefits100% Coverage for medical and dental insurance for individual or family plans.Employer Contribution into an HSA401k with MatchLong-Term & Short-Term DisabilityLife InsuranceOther Supplemental BenefitsPTO & Holidays Additional Job Information Interested applicants must submit their resume for consideration using our applicant tracking system.
