Director of Family Support Services
Job Summary
The Director of Family Services is responsible for the day to day operations of Family Support, Respite Services.
Duties and Responsibilities
E- Connotes Essential Functions.
E1- Oversees day to day operations of Family Support Services.
E2- Interviews, trains and evaluates all Family Support Programs.
E3- Develops all program polices and procedures.
E4- Provides regular Management Training and oversight for both new and experienced management staff.
E5- Completes and reviews all necessary paperwork for all programs.
E6- Ensures the daily operations of Free Standing Respite programs, Saturday, Recreation and Community Habilitation.
E7- Ensures all billing documentation is accurate and that participants meet OPWDD eligibility requirements.
E8- Ensures information in IGHL’s current billing platform is accurate and up to date for all Family Services programs.
9- Oversees the utilization of staff overtime and ensure that staff are utilized with approved staffing limits.
10- Reviews and approves actions in the HR actions system. Monitors and approves all paperwork involving transfers, promotions, warnings and evaluations.
11- Assists with writing grants for potential programs when the opportunity presents itself.
12- 24 hour on call responsibility for all the Family Support programs.
13- Enforces and adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
14- All other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in related field
· Three years’ experience working with disabled population
· Experience working in the Family Services Field
· Supervisory experience
· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and UKG
· Valid NYS driver’s license
· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
