Specific work schedules shall be determined by the department based on internship assignment and course requirements. 35 – 40 hours. In office. Internships are non-exempt positions.Pay: Undergraduate Students: $18.00 per hourSummer interns will not work more than forty (40) hours in an administrative work weekResponsibilitiesAre you a creative storyteller with an eye for design and a passion for communication? As a Communications & Engagement Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting internal communications and employee engagement initiatives while building real-world content across digital platforms.Help create and share internal communications that keep employees informed and engagedDesign visually appealing content and assets (newsletters, announcements, presentations) using tools like CanvaWrite copy for email campaigns, promotions, product launches, social media, and digital publicationsAssist in developing content for web pages, landing pages, and product pagesSupport updates and maintenance of existing website contentResearch industry trends and turn insights into fresh, relevant content ideasPartner with the Marketing team to ensure projects are delivered on timeBring creative ideas and best practices to enhance communication strategiesJump in on additional projects and tasks as neededQualificationsCurrent Student or Recent Graduate: Interns must be currently enrolled in a program of study or a recent graduate (within 12 months) from an accredited college/university or technical/vocational institution and be in good academic standing Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related fieldMust submit a writing sampleBackground Check: Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen. Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlinesComfortable working both independently and as part of a teamExcited to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environmentInterns must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be punctual with reliable transportation, have a strong work ethic and maintain confidentiality when required.Thompson Hospitality is of the largest restaurants, food service, and facilities management companies in the country.
