We look forward to meeting you.The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Burner to join our team of shipbuilders. The successful candidate will be responsible for making critical ship and module cuts using a variety of hand and track-driven equipment, ensuring precise alignment for proper installation of ship components and modules.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate hand torches, IK12, IK72, and Koike mod drive burning machines to produce high-quality cutsDetermine proper tooling for each job, including choice of torch tip size and fuel flow settingsInterface with fellow shipbuilders, other trades, and ship management to ensure project successBecome proficient in the use of bevel gauges, squares, and rulers to establish precision machine setupsWork safely with a high degree of accuracy to produce final cutsMust HaveAbility to work in extreme temperature environment. Ability to work at extreme heights or in very confined spaces. Must be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb on a daily basis. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
