Security Guard (Temporary) - 18329 Description DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring the facility and approving access to visitors, guests and employees who need to enter the building. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Main Gate Guards: Responsible for approving access to visitors, guests, and employees through the main gate; signing in deliveries and notifying the patrol guard before allowing access into Shipping/Receiving area; monitoring access to east parking lot and on-base parking area; requesting a proper picture ID for visitors; issuing leasehold badges; monitoring the badge reader inside the gatehouse; checking toolbox when a new employee brings in tools. Patrol Post Guards: Responsible for all parking areas outside the facility; ensuring vehicles are parked in designated areas and not alongside fence; guarding Shipping/Receiving areas during gate operation; being present at turnstiles during shift change, breaks, and any employee entry/exit; patrolling the 2nd floor after hours to ensure doors are locked; patrolling the east. AOA Guards: Responsible for controlling access and traffic in the hangar; patrolling east/west side riding golf cart; challenging any persons or vehicles entering hangar area and demanding ID; logging all deliveries and visitors who enter/exit hangar area; ensuring employees or visitors have MIA badge or leasehold before crossing the red line in front of each hangar door. Applies to all Guards: Record work time as directed; comply with all AAR Aircaft Services – Miami, Inc. policies, procedures, and safety procedures; stay informed of policies; take prudent actions for asset preservation; attend scheduled training; perform other tasks as reasonably assigned; all other duties as assigned.
