{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"2853ebe7f39ca5fbde77e2d3","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/2853ebe7f39ca5fbde77e2d3","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/2853ebe7f39ca5fbde77e2d3","title":"Quality Engineer","description":"Description:\nTRAK TECOM designs, builds, and delivers advanced RF electronic solutions and antenna systems for mission-critical performance across the aerospace and defense industry.\n\nOur RF microwave and antenna solutions support Electronic Warfare (EW), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Radar, Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT), Telemetry, Tracking, Command & Datalink, and Communications helping customers achieve reliability, resilience, and high performance in the harshest operating environments.\nTRAK TECOM is seeking a Quality Engineer is responsible for product quality on assigned programs to ensure that customer contract requirements are fulfilled.\n\nResponsibilities:\nReview of customer contracts, Statements of Work, Purchase Order Quality Clauses, drawings and specifications\nReview and approval of quality requirements for Manufacturing Planning and Supplier Purchase Orders\nPoint of contact for assigned customer’s audits, quality inquiries, and SCAR’s\nParticipate in QMS process management\nPerform investigations and create reports for RMAs (customer returned parts)\nDrive process and product improvement, working with Engineering and Operations\nAnalyze COPQ data (rework, scrap, warranty) to identify opportunities for improvement\nPerform defect data (internal and external) trend analysis to drive continuous improvement.\nMeet established quality objectives and metrics\nPerform Internal Audits\nReview and create First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 as required\nDrive Root Cause & Corrective Action of failures and defects\nComply with and ensure department compliance with all Company policies and procedures\nPerform other related duties as assigned\nRequirements:\nTechnical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nExperience with use of technical drawings, specifications, manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, and configuration control of documents\nExperienced with Configuration Control Board (CCB), review of ECOs, drawings, source control specifications, test plans & reports\nGood working knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)\nExperience creating, updating, reviewing, and releasing Quality Management Systems documents that meet ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100\nExperience with investigation of non-conformances and continuous improvement techniques, e.g., RCCA, 8D, 5-Why, PFMEA\nKnowledge of APQP/PPAP and associated documents (PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow Diagram, capability studies) preferred\nExperienced in First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation IAW AS9102\nExperience with a diverse set of manufacturing and assembly processes, e.g. PCB manufacturing, motors and encoders, conformal coating, IPC soldering, plating, painting, electro-mechanical assembly, test and inspection, preferred.\nKnowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes preferred\nFamiliar with typical ERP business system software\nProficient in MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and other CRM tools\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nAbility to multi-task, prioritize, be a self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation for excellence\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy\nAbility to work independently\nAbility to work in a dynamic, fast paced, diverse environment\nHigh energy, results oriented, self-motivated/self-reliant, team player\nStrong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with an organization and customers at all levels\nExperience: Minimum 3 (three) to 5 (five) plus years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledgeable in ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 quality systems a plus.\nEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; or equivalency experience.\nSecurity: U.S. citizenship required.
