This position also works with supporting departments to proactively address barriers that may cause product quality issues, machine inefficiency, or scheduling deviations.\nShift\nFirst Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday, or as job responsibilities require\nEssential Functions\nEnsure operator safety by regularly auditing machines and processes and taking immediate action to remedy any situation that may result in injury\nEnsure that operators are fully trained for all processes for which they are responsible\nCarry out supervisory responsibilities including training employees, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems\nAuthor and conduct employee annual performance reviews and progressive disciplinary actions\nWork with the Production Manager, Production Scheduler, and others to determine the most beneficial production and crewing schedule\nProvide feedback to the Production Manager regarding potential product and/or process improvements\nActively engage in continuous improvement activities (RCPS, DMAIC), to improve safety, quality, and efficiency\nEstablish, implement, and ensure compliance to SOP’s to guarantee that all products meet established quality criteria\nEnsure compliance with all Quality and Safety standards and policies\nQualifications\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nBachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred\nExperience\n5+ years of experience in a related role\nExperience in a leadership position\nExperience in manufacturing, preferably in the food industry\nExperience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and machinery\nSpecialized Knowledge and Skills\nKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)\nKnowledge of common business systems\nNecessary Competencies\nAdaptability / Flexibility\nCritical Thinking\nCustomer Focus\nProblem Solving\nTime Management / Planning\nTeam Building\nBenefits Package\nStandard Process is proud to be a top workplace.
