Summary: The FP&A Analyst role supports D&H’s Warehouse, Logistics, and Transportation team, and is primarily responsible for KPI and Financial reporting, routine requests for data evaluation, and analysis for ad hoc and long-term projects. This includes data gathering and preparation, analysis, and summarization of findings. Methodology and end results/recommendations are typically reviewed with other FP&A team members, Logistics leadership team, and possibly Executive team – attention to detail is critical. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support the day-to-day analytical requests of the Logistics and FP&A departments; provide and measure status for strategic initiatives. Utilize database tools (Cognos, Tableau, SQL) and Excel to identify and effectively communicate key metrics to senior management. Construct simulation models and analyze the impacts and benefits of investments and changes considered by the organization. Support projects to achieve cost/quality/service objectives based on data analysis. Provide ongoing monitoring/reporting on critical projects to the Executive team as necessary. Collaborate effectively with various departments throughout D&H to establish partnerships and bridge the gap between Finance and Operations. Demonstrate a desire to learn about the distribution industry, warehouse operations, transportation, and supply chain logistics. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university; a Major in Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Mathematics/Quantitative Business Analysis, or Supply Chain is recommended but not required. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Prior experience or knowledge in business intelligence systems (Cognos, Tableau, etc) a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and take initiative when needed to bring analyses to completion. Requires strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities. Ability to effectively setup & lead team presentations using provided technology. Why Should You Apply?
