Toolroom Technician
Aptar is seeking a Toolroom Technician based in Cary, IL. This position is onsite at our Cary North plant. Under the direction of the Toolroom Supervisor and Mold makers, assemble and disassemble injection molds for the purpose of cleaning, converting and regaining cavitation in an accurate and timely manner, manufacture Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) fixtures as well as operate Toolroom machinery.
As a Process Toolroom Technician You Will:
Disassemble and reassemble injection molds to meet production and sampling schedules
Clean molds and mold components and perform preventative maintenance according to the Toolroom checklist
Install replacement cavity forming steel in order to regain cavitation of molds
Complete Toolroom Work Orders and all accompanying Toolroom documentation
Who We Are Looking For
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
Required Skills:
Must demonstrate (as determined by passed testing) mechanical aptitude and be proficient in math
Must be able to stand or walk 11 hours of the normal 12 hour shift
Must have good mobility and must be able to routinely lift loads of up to 50 lbs from floor level to above waist
Must have high energy level and be able to work well under pressure
Must be able to hear warning signals and verbal alerts to avoid injury during manufacturing process
Must have good vision in order to perform visual inspection duties
Must be able to work effectively, communicate with others and be willing to work as a member of a team
Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues
Must be able to follow instructions and work independently
Must be able to obtain a forklift license
Must possess basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite and email programs such as Microsoft Outlook
Must be willing to assume additional responsibilities as delegated

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the starting hourly rate for this role is: $18.50 plus any applicable shift differential.
