May work with commercial or industrial designers to refine product designs to increase efficiency and decrease costs.\n\nJob Duties\n\nPlans and designs manufacturing processes and equipment in the manufacturing plant.\n\nResolves technical problems and recommends improvements of production methods and determines manufacturing capacity.\n\nUse AutoCAD software for electrical schematic development and electrical panel design.\n\nResponsible for designing, developing and maintaining electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment while applying NEC codes.\n\nDevelop and maintain HMI and PLC programs using a variety of Allen Bradley software programs.\n\nDevelop and maintain vision programs using a variety of Cognex software programs.\n\nDevelop and implement manufacturing and facility capital projects.\n\nManage and troubleshoot power distribution systems including facility transformers and switchgear.\n\nWork with maintenance to improve the reliability and safety of manufacturing equipment.\n\nMay lead smaller ITW Toolbox projects including In-Lining, MRD, PLS, and 80/20 evaluations.\n\nMay assign work to drafters and technicians, technical writers, engineering technicians, and maintenance shop personnel as required.\n\nTroubleshoot and support manufacturing equipment issues.\n\nPromotes and follows all safety guidelines and procedures.\n\nRecommends safety improvements as needed.\n\nPerform various projects as assigned.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering field is required; Electrical Engineering preferred.\n\n3‑5 years previous engineering experience; preferable within a manufacturing environment.\n\nElectrical engineering experience working with PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting in an industrial environment preferred.\n\nAC and Servo drive system experience.\n\nVision system programming and integration.\n\nInstrumentation including loop tuning experience.\n\nPower distribution and troubleshooting experience.\n\nCompensation Information\nThe range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 depending on experience.\n\nITW is an equal opportunity employer.
