Program Coordinator $27/hr Program: IDD Location: New Castle County Status: Full-Time - 40 hours Schedule:    ABOUT THE ROLE The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one or more non‑residential program sites serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role ensures a safe, supportive, and person‑centered environment that promotes wellness, empowerment, and meaningful participation for the individuals served. The Program Manager provides leadership to staff, ensures services align with Individual Support Plans (ISPs), and models professionalism, accountability, and commitment to organizational values. RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Staff Oversight Provide day‑to‑day supervision, guidance, coaching, and support to program staff. Train, mentor, and develop staff, addressing performance issues and identifying opportunities for growth. Assist with interviewing and onboarding new staff. Manage staff schedules, including coverage for call‑outs, no‑shows, and time‑off requests. Participate in planning meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings for participants. Program & Service Delivery Ensure services are delivered in accordance with Individual Support Plans (ISPs). Provide ongoing, hands‑on program support to staff and participants. Develop, coordinate, and oversee monthly consumer activities and community engagement opportunities. Respond appropriately to crisis situations, including notifying appropriate personnel and completing incident reports. Report medical or health‑related concerns promptly to the appropriate medical or clinical contacts. Administrative & Site Management Monitor, manage, and reconcile site and consumer-related expenditures. Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and safety of program sites and vehicles; report needed repairs or safety concerns. Ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time. Communicate documentation issues, concerns, or trends to leadership. Participate in quality assurance and compliance activities. Perform other duties as assigned to support program operations. REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience. At least 5 years of experience working with adults with disabilities. Demonstrated knowledge of applicable regulations, program policies, and organizational values. Basic computer and internet skills, including email, timekeeping systems, and electronic documentation. Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle with state‑minimum insurance coverage. Ability to pass required employment screenings, including background and FBI clearances when applicable. Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and use of hands.
