{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"28030a76461ba433625a4fc5","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/28030a76461ba433625a4fc5","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/28030a76461ba433625a4fc5","title":"Structural Engineer","description":"Overview:\nTekWissen is a global workforce management provider headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan that offers strategic talent solutions to our clients world-wide.\nJob Title: Structural Engineer\nDuration: Fulltime\nLocation: Detroit, MI\nWork Type: Onsite/Hybrid\nJob Description:\nThe Structural Engineer role is a diversified role that provides the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the business and financial side of construction, along with the technical specialization of Rack structures.\nThe Structural Engineer works closely with the Division\nManager, the third-party designers, the customer, and the other project stakeholders to support initial design, pricing, value engineering and updates to design, initial CAD drawings and sketchups, and everything else related to bringing the project to life at the front end of the project.\nWhile this position will focus more on the initial proposal, design and preconstruction phase ofthe projects, the Structural Engineer has the opportunity to stay connected to projects as they hit fabrication and ultimately erection in the field.\nOccasional travel to project sites is a part of the position, as is participation in industry events and trade shows.\nClientensures that its entire team is well-rounded and understands the AS/RS and steel business from the ground up.\nThis means that the newest Engineer will go through a training process that includes time spent in the field and in the fabrication shop at Client's sister company, Indiana Bridge.\nOther key highlights of the job include direct experience working alongside a Manager that has 40+ years within the business, other experienced professionals in the office and the field, working on unique projects, and having the opportunity to grow as this division and industry continues to grow.\nDesired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Structural Engineer\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with a structural focus\n10+ years of work experience in the engineering and/or construction industry, preferably in the AS/RS or structural industry\nProficient with design and analysis of structural steel buildings\nExperience with AutoCAD, RISA 3D, and Revit.
