Drill holes range in size and can be as small as 0.005” in diameter. Additionally, the drill operator performs a variety of tasks in support of the drilling process, which may include gathering supplies such as back-up and entry materials, drill bits, machine setup and quality verification of product.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\nDrill I (Entry level)\nPerform job related tasks as instructed by supervisor.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.\nAssist on removal of copper flash from panels edges.\nVisually inspect panels for surface defects.\nRead and understand applicable Process Procedures and safety rules.\nPerform additional tasks as assigned by management.\nDrill II (Operator level)\nPerform all Drill I tasks defined above.\nSet up, load, unload and operate CNC drill machines with minimal supervision.\nLoad, unload and set up appropriate drill cassettes according to traveler drill sizes.\nDrill F/A (First Article) panel and make appropriate table adjustments.\nVerify internal hole registration and annular ring using the X-Ray machine.\nMaximize productivity by maintaining drill machines active.\nDiscontinue processing when a non-conforming condition is found and report it to management.\nAssist with drill inventory control.\nPerform all tasks and routine maintenance as required by Process Procedure.\nAccurately complete all departmental, quality and lot tracking documentation.\nAssist other operators when time allows.\nDrill III (Advanced Operator level)\nPerform all Drill I & II tasks defined above.\nCollaborate with management/ shift supervisor to ensure appropriate personnel are scheduled to meet the departmental goals while minimizing overtime.\nActively seek process improvement activities to enhance manufacturing capabilities.\nMaintain drill inventory.\nEvaluate new technologies, materials, and techniques.\nSupport and implement company policy and procedures.\nAssist in training assigned personnel.\nSchedule Preventive Maintenance for departmental equipment\nRequirements:\nESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:\nDrill I\nHigh School diploma or equivalent.\nAble to read, write and communicate in English.\nAble to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), as required by work area.\nExcellent work ethics, detail oriented and self-motivated.\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment.\nFlexible and willing to cross-train in other areas.\nBasic computer knowledge is helpful.\nAble to work overtime including weekends and holidays, as required, in support of departmental and company goals\nDrill II (including level I)\nMinimum of one (1) year experience in printed circuit board CNC drilling and ability to satisfactorily perform each task for Drill II operator.\nAble to work with minimal supervision.\nAble to set up and operate CNC drill equipment with minimal supervision.\nAble to set drill depth for through-hole drilling and controlled depth.\nAble to operate X-Ray machine and visually understand the screen graphics.\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced, time sensitive, high-pressure environment.\nDrill III (including level I & II)\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience in printed circuit board CNC drilling.\nExcellent organizational and leadership skills.\nIn-depth experience and knowledge of PCB drilling.\nStrong knowledge of complex board manufacturing including but not limited to, military rigid and rigid-flex board manufacturing.\nUnderstanding of industry standards and specifications (IPC).\nAble to effectively communicate with management and supervisory staff.\nProficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.\nAble to support and implement company safety protocols.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (all levels):\nAble to stand and move around through the entire shift\nAble to consistently lift 25 pounds.\nAPCT, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, marital status, genetic information, medical condition, or any other characteristic protected by law (EEOC).\nCompensation: Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.\nAbout APCT, Inc.\nAPCT is a leading manufacturer of high-reliability printed circuit boards.
