Works on sophisticated, challenging projects needing cutting edge technical or commercial expertise with wireless technologies.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience\n2+ years embedded software engineering experience\nSolid programming experience with C language\nUtilizes version control, simulation, debugging, and other development tools\nExperience developing with real-time operating systems and bare metal\nExperience with TCP/IP, Ethernet and data networks\nFamiliar with common communication interfaces including SPI, I2C, USB, UART, etc.\nDevelops detailed technical documentation including block diagrams and flow charts\nExperience with NXP, SiLabs, Renesas and/or TI Microcontrollers preferred\nMicroprocessor, digital and analog circuit troubleshooting preferred\nAndroid development experience a plus\nFamiliarity with Jira a plus\n\nResponsibilities\n\nSoftware:\nDesigns, writes, maintains, tests, and debugs software that is modular, maintainable, and easy to understand\nInterprets microprocessor datasheets and technical reference manuals to configure device to meet requirements\nLearns and maintains existing software products\nUses debuggers, emulators and compilers/assemblers for software development\nAnalyzes functional requirements and translates to product design\nParticipate in formal code inspection process with various product lines\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, product managers, and quality assurance\nProblem-solving and working with team or individually to meet the needs of the project\n\nOther:\nMeets deadlines while conforming to DMP quality standards\nProtects operation by keeping information confidential\nAcknowledges responsibility to satisfy the customer, reduce cycle time and eliminate waste\nObserves company policies. Continuously strives to improve processes and increase efficiency while maintaining conformance to requirements\nObserves and adheres to DMP Data Classification Standard\nMay perform related duties or fill in for others in the department or other departments when requested. May train or instruct fellow workers regarding own duties.\nContributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
