Supervise and oversee at least 2 FTE exempt and/or non-exempt employees in the daily operations of the department. Interview, select and train staff. Responsible for evaluating employee performance and recommending merit increases and incentive awards.\r\nEssential Functions\r\n\r\nSupervise the development, revision and publishing of system operating procedures in CT, MA and NH.\r\nLiaise with System Operations Control Center management, adjacent Local Control Centers, Eversource and member participant engineering groups to ensure changes in electric system configuration and operating practice are reflected in system operating procedures accurately and expeditiously.\r\nLiaise with Eversource compliance, ISO-NE and other external groups to identify procedure and regulatory changes and oversee necessary modifications to System Operations procedures.\r\nEnsure correct and consistent implementation of system operations procedures by system operators in CT, MA and NH and communicate deficiencies to operations management.\r\nEvaluate capital project work and determine impact to operating instructions.\r\nMaximize standardization of system operating procedures across System Operations Control Centers in CT, MA and NH.\r\nRepresent System Operations Procedures at meetings, on committees and at conferences.\r\nSupervise, coach and review the performance of System Operations Procedures personnel.\r\nAssess the need for and oversee implementation of programs to ensure System Operations Procedures personnel possess the necessary technical and behavioral skills for individual and group success.\r\nAssist operations management in the coordination of response to system emergencies and participate on event review teams and incident analyses as requested by operations management\r\n\r\nTechnical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:\r\nTechnical Knowledge/Skill:\r\n\r\nKnowledge of transmission and distribution electric system operations.\r\nKnowledge of equipment thermal limits and limiting components.\r\nKnowledge of functions of the various components that make up the Eversource electric system.\r\nThorough knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards, OSHA regulations and other regulatory requirements.\r\nCommunicate and work effectively with personnel at various levels within Eversource, ISO-NE, ISO-NE satellites, participant companies, non-utility generators and neighboring utilities.\r\nRead and interpret electrical schematic diagrams.\r\nStrong written and oral communication skills.\r\nStrong analytical skills.\r\nProficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.\r\n\r\nEducation\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Technology, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience\r\n\r\nExperience\r\n\r\nTen years of related experience in electric power distribution, transmission or generation.\r\nFour years' experience as a System Operator preferred.\r\nFour years' experience as a procedure writer or supervising a procedure writing group preferred.\r\nOne year experience supervising others preferred.\r\n\r\nLicenses & Certifications:\r\n\r\nValid motor vehicle operator's license.\r\nAbility to obtain NERC Transmission Operator certification within 6 months.\r\n\r\nWorking Conditions\r\n\r\nMust be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.\r\nMust be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.\r\n\r\nPlease submit a resume with your application.\r\nelecajd\r\nLI-ES3\r\nCompetencies\r\nBuild trusting relationships\r\nManage and develop people\r\nFoster teamwork and cross-functional collaboration\r\nLead change\r\nCommunicate strategic vision\r\nCreate an engaged workforce\r\nFocus on the customer\r\nTake ownership & accountability\r\nCompensation and Benefits\r\nEversource offers a competitive total rewards program.Check out our careers site for an overview of our benefits programs.
