The Shift Supervisor will establish a daily Game Plan, assign Staff Duties/Tasks, supervise on-duty employees for customer service, store details, and completion of assigned duties/task to established Company standards.\nThe primary function of this position is to provide direction for store operations as established by the Store Manager, maintain, and enforce established company policies, procedures, and standards.\nThis position reports to the Store Manager and Lead Supervisor. The Shift Supervisor will be assigned additional job duties or areas of responsibility per the Store Manager’s direction.\nThe Shift Supervisor must be able to recognize and resolve conflicts of any kind and protect the assets of the organization.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nMaintain established store operations with the direction of the Store Manager and/or Lead Supervisor.\nProtect all company assets.\nTeach, train, and guide employees within the established guidelines.\nInteract with management to expand gross profit opportunities.\nProcess employee evaluations for those employees that report to a specific Shift Supervisor.\nAbility to process vendor invoices, SSCS, EOD the daily deposit function(s) as required by store management.\nUnderstand and be actively involved in inventory control processes.\nProcess customer transactions through point-of-sale equipment.\nEstablish and maintain excellent vendor relations with current and new vendors.\nThis position supervises store clerks within established guidelines.\nMaintain excellent relations with store guests.\nPosition includes stocking the store as needed to maintain in-stock levels.\nAbility to monitor and utilize the Veeder Root fuel reporting system.\nMust receive EPA UST Class B License within 60 Days of Hire.\nMust Maintain current Safety or Employee Training Programs as assigned.\nMust monitor Profit Margins on a daily basis and report unusual findings to Manager or Lead Supervisor.\nMust be available to work all shifts.\nHelp enforce and maintain company Policies and Procedures.\nCover breaks and shifts as needed at all entities located within Eagle Feather Trading Post.\nMust be able to resolve conflicts that arise within the store staff, including customers, while maintaining a professional demeaner.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED\n1 year’s prior retail experience in a high traffic convenience store and or fueling station environment preferred.\nManagement experience highly preferred.\nMust be 21 years of age or older.\nComputer literate including Microsoft programs, point of sale systems and handheld scanner use.\nShow proficiency in communication, planning and organizing, initiative, judgment, delegation, and leadership.\nAbility to manage and maintain confidential information.\nMust successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.\nMust successfully complete a pre-employment background check.\nMust hold California Driver License and insurable through TREDC.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nMust write clearly and concisely using correct grammar to record and report information.\nAbility to determine store needs and devise a written strategy to achieve completion of plan.\nAbility to recognize talented staff members and train them for advancement within the company.\nMust be detail oriented.\nCompetent in math. Must add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and correctly.\nAbility to count change back to customers.\nAble to communicate with people of various social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.\nAbility to lead and influence others in a positive manner.\nAbility to oversee and maintain confidential information.\nExcellent verbal and listening skills.\nPhysical Demands\nMust be able to lift up to fifty pounds frequently.\nThe employee is required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time, as well as bending, reaching, twisting, turning, stoop, and kneel.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include near and far-sighted vision.\nAbility to occasionally climb a ladder to store or retrieve materials, and/or place or remove signs.\nAbility to grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands up.
