We have an exciting opportunity for a Scientist I based in Irvine, CA and are seeking a highly motivated Scientist I to join in our team and lead project activities related to thedesign, evaluation and implementation of Container Closure System (CCS) developmentfor early- and late-stageparenteral Antibodies, Antibody-Drug Conjugatesas well asEye Care and Neurotoxin products . The ideal candidate will independently manageCCS characterizationforVials, Prefilled Syringes (PFS) and Cartridgesto support drug product and combination products requirements.Responsibility:\r\n• Planning, preparation, execution and evaluation ofexperiments for development of container closure systemsfor new parenteral drug products, namely liquid drug preparations of biotechnological drugs invials, pre-filled syringes and cartridgesas well as lyophilizates.\r\n• Evaluation and implementation oftesting methods for CCSwith a focus on continuous improvement and adherence to Regulatory requirements.\r\n• Responsibility for assigned laboratory equipment. Ensure required maintenance, documentation, and user training.\r\n• Authoring comprehensive, scientifically sound reports that could serve as source documents for authority submissions.\r\n• Collaboration with third party labs and/or manufacturing sites.\r\n• Coordination of suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.\r\n•Documentationof all work according to applicableGSP or GMPand internal procedural requirements.\r\n• Supporting continuous landscaping programs for innovative CCS, implementing andcharacterizing new CCS techniques.\r\n•Presentation of project dataas well as SME topics in internal global teams.\r\n• Interacting professionally and effectively with peers and management.Qualifications:\r\n•Bachelor’s Degreeor equivalent education with 1-2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry, Material Sciences, biomedical, Chemistry, Physic, or related fields, preferably withMaster’s degree.\r\n• Good technical and scientific understanding ofparenteral drug productdevelopment and regulatory guidelines.\r\n• Ability to develop comprehensivetest plans and evaluate design conceptsto ensure CCS meets stakeholder needs.\r\n• Ability to effectively identify and communicate risks.\r\n• Understanding of relevant scientific literature and ability to apply theoretical framework to solving problems within scientific discipline in a timely manner.\r\n• Detail oriented and good track record in delivering reliable and consistent results.\r\n•Working knowledge of regulatory requirementsfor parenteral pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products, packaging materials and drug/device combinations products is desired.\r\n• Scientific expertise instatistical data analysisis a plus.\r\n• Able to work with cross functional teams including R & D, Science & Technology, Operation, Quality, Regulatory, etc.\r\n• Excellent oral communication skills as well as soundtechnical writing and documentationcompetencies are required.Top Skills Required:\r\n1. Bachelor’s Degree: chemistry/analytical science, material science or chemical engineering\r\n2. 1-2 years industry hands on experience\r\n3. Evaluation and implementation oftesting methods\r\n4.
