This role focuses on ensuring consistent and reliable control system performance across a mixed fleet of equipment by driving integration between control platforms, standardizing communication structures, and supporting interoperability between systems. The position supports both new equipment development and existing fleet optimization, with a strong emphasis on controls integration and system-level functionality.\r\nPrimary Responsibilities\r\n\r\nControls Integration & Standardization\r\nIntegrate control systems across generators, BESS, load banks, electrical distribution, climate control, and compressed air equipment\r\nSupport development of standardized control approaches across multiple OEM platforms\r\nEnsure consistent behavior, logic structure, and interface expectations across equipment types\r\nDevelop and maintain sequence of operations for complex, multi-asset systems\r\nSupport system-level functionality including load coordination, staging, and response\r\n\r\nControls Design & Implementation\r\n\r\nDevelop and support PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and control architectures\r\nConfigure communication between devices using industrial protocols (Modbus, CAN, Ethernet-based systems, etc.)\r\nSupport implementation of control system upgrades and enhancements across the fleet\r\nAssist in defining control requirements for new equipment and applications\r\n\r\nModbus Mapping & Data Integration\r\n\r\nDevelop and maintain standardized Modbus maps across equipment platforms\r\nValidate parameter consistency including naming, scaling, and structure\r\nSupport internal initiatives to define key parameters for monitoring and control\r\nWork with internal teams and vendors to improve data accessibility and usability\r\nAssist in translating equipment data into actionable information for operations\r\n\r\nTelemetry Support (T3 Integration)\r\n\r\nSupport integration of equipment into EquipmentShare's telematics platform (T3)\r\nAssist in validating data points and communication reliability\r\nWork with internal teams to troubleshoot data gaps and inconsistencies\r\nProvide input to improve visibility, alarms, and reporting based on control system data\r\n\r\nCommissioning & Field Support\r\n\r\nSupport commissioning of control systems in both factory and field environments\r\nTroubleshoot control, communication, and integration issues\r\nSupport system startup, testing, and validation\r\nAssist with remote diagnostics and technical support\r\n\r\nDocumentation & Technical Development\r\n\r\nDevelop control schematics, IO lists, and system architecture documentation\r\nCreate and maintain control narratives and functional descriptions\r\nDefine alarm, shutdown, and safety logic\r\nSupport development of internal standards and best practices\r\n\r\nCross-Functional Support\r\n\r\nPartner with Engineering, Fleet, and Operations on equipment performance and integration\r\nSupport Sales with technical input for complex, multi-system projects\r\nWork with vendors to improve control system compatibility and integration\r\nAssist in fleet optimization, reliability, and standardization initiatives\r\n\r\nWhy EquipmentShare?\r\nBecause we do things differently - and we think you'll feel it from day one.
