This is a part-time position with the potential to grow as additional facilities are added to the program.\nResponsibilities\nTeach small-group technology classes at senior living facilities\nHelp residents use smartphones, tablets, laptops, and computers\nExplain technology slowly, clearly, and patiently\nTeach texting, email, video calls, photos, internet use, and useful applications\nEducate residents about online scams, suspicious messages, and password safety\nProvide limited individual assistance during classes\nFollow prepared lesson plans and training materials\nRecord attendance and complete a brief report after each class\nCommunicate professionally with facility staff\nTravel to facilities throughout Monmouth County and surrounding areas\nQualifications\nStrong working knowledge of smartphones, tablets, Windows computers, email, and common applications\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nPatient and comfortable working with older adults\nAble to explain technical subjects in simple, easy-to-understand language\nReliable, organized, and professional\nReliable transportation and a valid driver’s license\nAvailable during weekday mornings and afternoons\nTeaching, training, customer service, senior care, or technology support experience is helpful but not required.\nThis position will begin with a limited number of classes and expand as additional facilities join the program. Most classes will be scheduled during weekday mornings and afternoons. Candidates should have some flexibility in their availability.\nQualified applicants will be invited to a telephone screening and an in-person interview.
