Data Analytics DeveloperInformation Technology DepartmentPosition Summary:Data Analytics Developers are data experts who design, build and maintain data analysis solutions. Data Analytics Developers understand, mine, aggregate, and expose business data to enable efficient decision-making and the discovery of data-based business insights. Data Analytics Developers use a variety of tools, techniques, and languages to create dashboards and populate reporting tools.Outline of Duties:Collaborate with SIA management and business users to define data analysis requirements and specificationsWork with transactional system developers to locate and understand source dataUse ETL and data modeling tools to translate requirements into functioning, accurate data analysis solutions, including writing custom code in SQL, Python, MDX and other languages as neededDevelop efficient, robust ETL processes to extract data from transactional systems and other sources; follow organizational change management proceduresDesign, create, and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, data marts, etc. to support analysis and reporting, following best practices and considering data retention policiesCreate and model ontology objects; design and build reports and data visualizations, including dashboardsModify solutions to fix errors, adapt to new hardware or runtimes, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces or software versionsLead and/or support continuous improvement activities to improve analysis capability and performance; advise the business on possible and recommended metrics based on experience and industry best practiceDeliver ad hoc reports and data extracts as neededAll other duties as assigned (ex. perform or coordinate web development) Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Informatics or related field or equivalentDesired Qualifications:Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experienceExperience with Palantir FoundrySubaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer committed to employing a diverse workforce.
