This role assists with day-to-day program operations, follows up on program needs, coordinates special events, and provides administrative support to ensure programs run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities also include purchasing and organizing camp supplies, coordinating logistics, and supporting staff and program teams throughout the summer season.\n\nROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAssist with planning, organizing, and implementing daily program activities and special events: Family Fun Night and Theme Fridays.\nPurchase and track camp supplies, equipment, and materials within approved budgets.\nCoordinate inventory management and maintain adequate program and camp supplies.\nAssist with program setup, breakdown, and daily operations.\nMonitor program activities to help maintain a safe, organized, and positive environment.\nPrepare and maintain reports, forms, and documentation related to programs and camps.\nProcess purchase requests, receipts, and expense records in accordance with organizational procedures.\nProvide customer service and respond to general participant inquiries.\nAssist with scheduling, logistics, and operational support for programs and events.\nPerform other related duties as assigned like supporting the Explorer team during high peak seasons.\n\nPerformance & Organizational Excellence:\nParticipate in the agency's performance management process by establishing annual goals, completing mid-year and end-of-year evaluations, and engaging in ongoing performance discussions with supervisors.\nComplete documentation, data entry, and required reports accurately and on time in accordance with agency standards, funder requirements, and established deadlines, including updates to agency systems, dashboards, and tracking tools.\nComplete required annual professional development activities to maintain and strengthen clinical knowledge, professional skills, and overall job performance.\nUse program and service data to improve performance by participating in data review and discussion during supervision, department meetings, reporting activities, and other quality improvement efforts, including surveys and feedback activities, as applicable.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS & KEY ATTRIBUTES:\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nAssociates (with education plan) or Bachelors degree preferred.\n13 years of administrative or program support experience.\nStrong proficiency in Google Suite and data management systems.\nExperience working with youth programs, camps, recreation, or community services preferred.\nExperience with purchasing, inventory management, or administrative support is a plus.\nStrong organizational and customer service skills.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and move supplies during program and camp activities.\nAbility to work both indoors and outdoors as needed.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nPrevious experience in a Commonpoint role is a plus.\nBudget tracking and purchasing experience.\nEvent coordination and logistics support.\nStrong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.\nExperience working in diverse community settings.\nDriver's License.\n\nKEY ATTRIBUTES FOR COORDINATOR ROLE:\nOrganized and detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.\nExcellent customer service and communication skills.\nProficiency with databases and google software.\nAbility to work collaboratively in team settings.\n\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS:\nCommonpoint offers competitive base salaries benchmarked against comparable nonprofit organizations in the New York metropolitan area.
