Located near Humboldt Park, Chicago, IL, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our participants and the community.Role DescriptionThis is a summer part-time posititon. The Sports Coach will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of 3rd-5th grade boys in the morning, and a team of 6th-8th grade boys in the afternoon in various sports, including soccer, basketball, football, volleyball and other sports. The coach will foster a positive and motivating environment, encouraging each participant to try his best in each sport. Emphasis is on helping each member on his team grow personally in virtues such as fortitude, perseverance, teamwork, fairness, respect for others, and optimism. The Sports Coach will also act as a mentor and role model for participants.QualificationsHigh School graduateAbility to stand and walk majority of the dayNo expertise is required in any particular sportsGeneral knowledge of sports rules is preferedAbilty to work with youth and adult staff in group settings
