This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional who enjoys working closely with entrepreneurs and creative teams in a dynamic industry.ScheduleApproximately 20–25 hours per week4–5 hours per day3–4 days per week in office in Scottsdale1 day per week remoteOpportunity to transition into a full-time leadership role as the company growsRole OverviewThe Fractional Controller will be responsible for managing the company’s accounting processes, maintaining financial accuracy, and providing financial insights that help leadership make informed decisions. This individual will work directly with the CEO to ensure strong financial management and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial OversightManage day-to-day accounting operations using QuickBooksOversee accounts payable and accounts receivableEnsure accurate financial record keeping and transaction entryPerform monthly account reconciliationsCash Flow & Financial PlanningMonitor and forecast cash flowPrepare and present financial reports and projectionsProvide insights into company financial health and performanceSupport leadership with strategic financial planningPayroll & ComplianceOversee and process payrollAdminister tax filings including 1099s, 941s, sales tax, and other required filingsEnsure compliance with financial reporting and tax obligationsBudgeting & Event Financial PlanningDevelop internal company budgets and financial forecastsCreate cost estimates and budgets for events and client engagementsTrack project and event profitabilityQualifications7+ years of accounting or finance experience, including controller-level responsibilitiesStrong proficiency with QuickBooksExperience with cash flow management, financial forecasting, and reportingKnowledge of payroll administration and tax filingsStrong organizational and analytical skillsExperience in events, hospitality, entertainment, or production industries is a plusAbility to work independently while collaborating closely with leadershipEmployment DetailsPart-time W-2 positionVacation and additional benefits availableOpportunity to grow into a full-time Controller or Finance Director roleLocationScottsdale, Arizona (hybrid schedule)
