{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"274e0f1715af155653e2f155","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/274e0f1715af155653e2f155","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/274e0f1715af155653e2f155","title":"Coordinator - EHS","description":"Essential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nSupport overall business strategy by ensuring all environmental, health and safety directives, policies, and initiatives are effectively incorporated at plant level.\nDevelop, implement, and execute annual objectives and improvement plans in conjunction with plant management.\nDevelop appropriate strategies for implementation of new or revised policies and regulations in conjunction with plant management.\nUndertake, at regular, intervals audits/inspections of the plant (including inspections of machinery, equipment in use, and work systems in operation) with plant management to ensure compliance with corporate polices and regulations. Where appropriate, develop corrective and preventive actions with management team.\nCollaborate with Safety Engineers, supervisors, and production employees to conduct job hazard analyses and risk assessments, and implement proper controls as necessary.\nEvaluate, recommend, and manage industrial hygiene monitoring to assess employee exposures to airborne contaminants and physical hazards.\nIdentify plant environmental, health and safety training needs, develop appropriate resources, and execute training sessions for employees and management staff as required. Partner with Training and Safety Educators (TSE) to assure effective completion of training topics.\nOrganize and oversee plant safety committee meetings.\nSupport plant supervisors with the investigation of incidents. Where necessary, lead investigation process and/or collaborate with appropriate staff on serious incidents.\nCommunicate incidents and corrective actions in a timely, thorough, and effective manner.\nPartner with Human Resources to monitor the status of all open Workers Compensation claims and coordinate with plant supervisors to minimize lost and/or restricted work days.\nParticipate on, and assist, the plant Security Team, including review of physical plant security and security situations as they develop.\nTrack and monitor plant environmental, health and safety metrics and communicate trends to management team as needed to drive performance.\nMaintain environmental, health and safety records to ensure adherence to corporate polices and/or regulatory requirements. Including, but not limited to, permit documentation, OSHA 300 log, incident records, safety metrics, training, inspections, and evaluations.\nPartner with Manufacturing Engineering team on environmental, health and safety requirements in the design, introduction, installation, use and decommissioning of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.\nCommunicate where necessary with various external agencies or resources (Government Agencies, Insurers, etc.).\nAbility to read, understand, and decipher technical information in determining applicability to plant processes.\nAbility to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.\nDemonstrated ability to effectively organize and manage numerous work tasks of a diverse nature.\nAbility to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts, including influence of cross-functional teams to gain consensus.\nExcellent organizational skills.\n\nAbove is a list of the most important responsibilities and functions, which are essential to the position.
