Business Analyst

SUMMARY:The Business Analyst gathers and analyzes data to understand business needs, with a strong focus on sales operations, forecasting, and organization-wide processes and data. This role collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, document requirements, and deliver data-driven insights that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making for senior leadership.This position also supports process optimization and reporting initiatives by leveraging modern tools, including AI-enabled technologies, to improve productivity, accuracy, and overall business outcomes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSales Demand ForecastingExecute key sales demand forecast processes within recurring Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) across all productsOwn and maintain Sales Demand data, ensuring accuracy and integrity prior to stakeholder presentationReporting and AnalysisDevelop and deliver reports (dashboards) including sales performance, market trends, competitor analysis, operational efficiency, and KPI dashboardsAnalyze large datasets using tools such as SQL and Excel to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and translate findings into visualizations, dashboards, and reports for executives and other leadershipPresent findings using modern tools to support business decision-makingCorporate PerformanceTrack and monitor goals and performance metrics on an ongoing basisDesign and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership visibility on key KPI’s and strategic objectivesEvaluate effectiveness of sales strategies and provide data-driven recommendationsAnalyze sales funnel performance, conversion ratios, and backlog trendsProcess Improvement & Business AnalysisIdentify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and operational effectivenessMap current (“As-Is”) workflows to identify bottlenecks and design improved (“To-Be”) processes that optimize operationsSupport cross-functional initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders to identify and document detailed business requirements through interviews, workshops, and surveysAct as a liaison between business stakeholders, developers, and technical teams to keep all parties aligned throughout the project lifecycle, from solution development through implementationTranslate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams, using artifacts such as user stories, use cases, and wireframesAssist in the rollout of new systems and process changes, including coordinating and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet documented business needsSystems & Data ManagementMaintain and ensure accuracy of data within CRM, ERP, and other business systemsSupport data integrity initiatives and develop processes to improve data qualityEnter and manage data within systems as requiredSupport system enhancements, integrations, or reporting improvements as neededCorporate Financial Tools and DocumentationAssist Finance in developing tools for gross margin, profitability, and financial analysisTraining and SupportSupport training initiatives related to systems, tools, and processesAssist with reporting and general administrative supportProvide backup support to other teams as neededAI & TECHNOLOGY UTILIZATIONUtilize AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Power BI, Excel AI features) to support data analysis, reporting, and documentationLeverage AI to assist in identifying trends, summarizing data, and improving efficiency in routine tasksApply critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs and ensure accuracyMaintain data privacy and confidentiality when using AI toolsContinuously learn and adopt emerging technologies relevant to business analysisUse AI tools to assist in drafting reports, documentation, and business insightsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business Administration, Aviation Management, Finance, or a related field2–4 years of experience in business analysis, sales operations, or a related field preferredEquivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredProfessional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA are a plusQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Technical SkillsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data analysis and reporting capabilitiesFamiliarity with CRM, ERP, or business systemsExperience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Databox, or Tableau preferredBasic understanding of SQL or data querying is preferred along with API
