This high-impact technical leadership position has broad influence across CAD infrastructure, design methodology, physical implementation, and the future direction of our silicon strategy.\r\nLocation & Employment Full-time, on-site/hybrid in Austin, Texas. This role is not remote.\r\nWhat You'll Do Lead, build, and pilot the Cadence Back-End Flow from the ground up.\r\nOwn and continuously evolve synthesis and physical implementation methodologies.\r\nDevelop advanced-node implementation strategies optimized for performance, power, area (PPA), and schedule.\r\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Front-End, Physical Design, STA, DFT, and Technology teams to align methodology with design goals.\r\nServe as the internal subject-matter expert for Synopsys Fusion Compiler and Cadence Synthesis flows.\r\nOwn and optimize physical signoff and optimization toolchains.\r\nEvaluate, deploy, tune, and scale flows for advanced process nodes.\r\nDrive tool benchmarking and methodology comparisons across EDA vendors to ensure best-in-class results.\r\nLead the evaluation of emerging AI-assisted EDA capabilities and agentic design workflows.\r\nDevelop and own the roadmap for AI-enabled Back-End design within the PEU Silicon organization.\r\nPosition the team at the forefront of intelligent, automated design implementation.\r\nWhat You Bring Extensive hands-on experience with Cadence and Synopsys Back-End design flows.\r\nDeep expertise in synthesis, place and route, and physical signoff at advanced process nodes.\r\nProven ability to lead methodology development and drive it across multi-disciplinary teams.\r\nStrong understanding of PPA trade-offs and implementation strategies at leading-edge nodes.\r\nExperience with or strong interest in AI/ML applications in EDA and design automation.\r\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence across engineering organizations.\r\nEqual Opportunity & Accessibility We are an equal-opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
