Project Manager - Land Development

Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead land and site development projects across Northeast Florida. This role will manage a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects, including residential, commercial, and municipal developments.The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, client relationship skills, and the ability to successfully lead multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & DeliveryManage land and site development projects from planning and design through permitting and constructionDevelop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and work plansEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standardsCoordinate internal design teams, including civil engineering, permitting, and support staffClient & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and agenciesBuild and maintain strong relationships with public agencies, developers, and stakeholdersLead client meetings, presentations, and project updates Technical OversightOversee preparation of site design plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management systemsEnsure compliance with local, state (FDOT, SJRWMD, FDEP), and municipal regulationsReview engineering plans, reports, and calculations for accuracy and completeness Permitting & Regulatory CoordinationManage entitlement and permitting processes with local jurisdictionsCoordinate approvals with agencies such as counties, cities, and water management districtsStay current on Northeast Florida development regulations and codes Team Leadership & MentorshipLead, mentor, and develop junior engineers and project staffSupport team utilization, staffing, and workload balancingFoster a collaborative and accountable team environment Business Development (as applicable) Support proposal development, scope definition, and fee estimates Participate in networking and client development efforts within the region Requirements Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Florida (or ability to obtain quickly)5-10+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land/site developmentProven experience managing both public and private sector projectsStrong knowledge of Northeast Florida permitting and regulatory processesProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and project management toolsExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Preferred QualificationsExperience working in St. Johns County, Duval County, or surrounding areasEstablished relationships with local clients, agencies, or developersExperience with stormwater design (ICP/ERP permitting) and FDOT standardsBackground in consulting engineering environments #LI-WL1
