language models (LLMs) and machine learning operations (MLOps) to support initiatives at the Executive / commissioner level within a secure federal.gov environment.**Key Responsibilities:**- Build, fine tune, and deploy LLM based applications (RAG, embeddings, vector databases).- Develop and maintain MLOps pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and automated model monitoring.- Build secure REST APIs and microservices for model inference.- Work with structured and unstructured data, ETL pipelines, and cloud/on prem data platforms.- Support model governance, drift detection, and compliance controls.- Collaborate with cross functional teams and produce clear documentation.**Required Skills:**- 7+ years of Python development.- Strong hands on experience with LLMs, transformers, and applied NLP.- Deep MLOps experience (MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).- Experience deploying ML systems in secure or federal environments.- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with stakeholders.- Ability to work on site in Baltimore/Woodlawn (local or willing to relocate).- U.S. Citizenship strongly preferred due to federal suitability requirements.**Preferred:**- Experience supporting large federal agencies.- Familiarity with federal application adjacent tech stacks (Java/Spring, DB2/Postgres, OpenShift).- Experience with DevSecOps and automated testing.- Background in NLP, deep learning, or applied AI.**Work Environment:**- On site, collaborative, mission driven federal environment.- Hands on engineering culture with high communication
