This person will be required to be on 24-hour call.\nUS Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nMaintain rigid safety standards as it relates to plant operation\nWork on projects with all other plant departments\nPerform work on equipment and projects as assigned in a reasonable and timely fashion\nKeep work area, tools, and maintenance supplies in a clean and acceptable condition at all times\nReplace lamps as needed\nRepair and maintain bathroom facilities\nKeep parking lot and walkway clean and clear of debris\nMaintain all equipment to top level working conditions\nOrder and follow up of repair parts to maintain inventory levels\nBe able to do paperwork that is required on the job. PM documents, etc.\nBe able to do daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance\nKnow the sequence of operation on presses\nRecommend machine repairs, issue work orders, and do follow up\nBe able to trouble shoot plastic injection molding machines and support equipment such as granulators, thermolators, material dryers, and DMEs\nMust be able to troubleshoot secondary and auxiliary equipment, replacing sensors etc. as needed to maintain daily production\nMust be able to disassemble, measure and install barrels, screws, tip assemblies, heater bands, etc. to include the complete injection unit\nBe able to determine priority of daily work as it occurs\nDo all work deemed necessary for the safe and overall efficiency of the plant and its employees\nBe able to work together with others to complete a task\nBe able to stay after scheduled work hours or come in on a 24-hour call-in basis\nReport and/or initiate corrective action for any unsafe conditions immediately\nContinue training as required\nAll hi-lo drivers must maintain safe driving speeds, have an acute awareness of all surroundings, stop at all cross aisles\nSupervisory Responsibilities – in the event that this position becomes vacant, the Maintenance Manager will resume responsibilities.\nEnvironmental Responsibilities – May be required to function as a member of the environmental response action team, Fire brigade and First responder with specialized training as listed in the tracking system. Provide OJT to personnel where appropriate.\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or manager, clients, customers, and the general public.\nMathematical Skills- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\nComputer Skills- Word processing, spread sheet and data analysis, Windows, PLC programming software.\nReasoning Ability- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations - Industrial maintenance, Hi-Lo license required, Crane and rigging training required\nAbility to work with others\nSafety conscious. Must use/wear all PPE including hard hat\nRead and understand blueprint, pneumatic, and hydraulic.\nRead electrical prints\nTroubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical problems\nSelf-motivated\nOn call 24 hours a day\nMust have lock out tag out training\nBasic electricity\nElectrical distribution\nElectrical control\nPLCs\nDigital electronics\nHydraulics including proportional and servo hydraulics\nPneumatic control (per division requirements)\nEquipment specific training\nBlueprint reading\nMeasuring and testing equipment\nBuilding maintenance\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
