Mowing Manager Halter Landscaping Inc. – Douglassville, PA Job Summary: Halter Landscaping is seeking an experienced and motivated Mowing Manager to oversee and coordinate six mowing crews operating throughout Berks County. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring daily operations run smoothly, quality standards are met, and crews are properly prepared and dispatched each morning. The Mowing Foreman Manager will serve as a key link between field crews, clients, and management, ensuring excellent service, accountability, and efficiency across all mowing operations. Reports to: Operations Manager Responsibilities: Lead and conduct daily morning huddles to review schedules, assignments, safety topics, and expectations before crews head into the field Oversee and manage up to six mowing crews across Berks County, ensuring routes are completed efficiently and to company standards Perform regular field checks to monitor quality, productivity, and safety compliance Address and resolve client concerns, including visiting client properties to correct mistakes or quality issues when necessary Communicate daily with the Operations Manager regarding crew performance, scheduling challenges, equipment needs, and client feedback Ensure crews are following proper mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanup procedures Enforce company policies, safety standards, and best practices across all crews Assist with training and mentoring crew leaders and crew members to improve performance and professionalism Coordinate with management on staffing needs, equipment issues, and workflow improvements Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the company to clients and the public Promote a positive team culture focused on accountability, quality, and customer satisfaction Qualifications: Valid driver’s license required Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in lawn maintenance or landscaping, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of mowing operations, equipment, and quality standards Proven ability to manage multiple crews and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work Ability to lead by example and maintain a professional, respectful attitude Comfortable interacting directly with clients to resolve concerns Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity Benefits: Health insurance with company contribution (upgrade and family coverage available) Optional dental and vision coverage Short-term disability paid by the company Optional long-term disability and life insurance Simple IRA with 3% employer match PTO About Us: Halter Landscaping, Inc. is a landscaping and snow removal company serving residential and commercial customers in Southeast Pennsylvania for over a decade.
