The Senior Software Engineer will research, design, develop and test operating systems level software, compilers and network distribution software for military computing applications.\n\nResponsibilities:\nEssential functions include:\n\nPerforming duties with minimal supervision and management intervention.\nSetting operational specifications as well as formulating and analyzing software requirements.\nDesign embedded systems software using the principals of computer science, engineering and mathematical analysis.\nComplete testing of programs, documenting all steps and maintaining operator instructions for programs developed and modified.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nA Master’s degree is preferred however a BA/S in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required\nA minimum of ten years (10+) years of experience in a Software Engineering position is required\nQualified candidates must have demonstrable experience in meeting deadlines with minimal supervision\nIntermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint\nAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. To receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English\nStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team\nPhysical Demands:\nMust be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds\nMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time\nMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically\nSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. Current Secret clearance holder are highly encouraged to apply.
