Martis Camp isn't just a place to work, it's a place to belong, contribute, and be part of something truly remarkable.POSITION SUMMARY :Martis Camp Club provides members and their guests an amazing dining experience. The dining team is looking for a seasonal server for the upcoming summer season to extend hospitality to our members and their families. The ideal fit for this position is someone with experience serving in an upscale dining environment who approaches interactions in a service-minded way and works well in a team. Our aim is to provide members and their families amazing service while creating a warm and friendly environment in which to relax.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :Attending members and guests with impeccable dining service, food knowledge, and thoughtfulnessAssist members in selecting food and beverages by maintaining a thorough knowledge of changing menus; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specials; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questionsProtect members by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policiesPrepare dining area including decorationsStay updated on current specialties and menu changesTransmit orders to bar and kitchen accurately and in a timely manner, identifying any special dietary needs and special requestsKeep culinary team informed by monitoring timing and progression of the mealsBe familiar with Fine Dining sequence of service and deliver orders accordinglyPossess leadership skills and to be comfortable in that role. This includes, but not limited to: checking opening and closing side-work for other teammates; coaching co-workers on all aspects of food and beverage service; following directions from superiors and giving directions in a clear, respectful and professional mannerRespond to additional member requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining processMaintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; maintaining water and beverage service; being alert to member spills or other special needsProperly open and pour wine tablesideObtain revenues by charging the appropriate member account promptly in POS systemPerform basic restaurant side-work and additional cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisorAssist with special events as neededPromptly address service issues and refer members to management when necessaryAssisting teammatesOther duties as assigned by the Supervisor/ManagersKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES : Serving experience preferredMust have current ServSafe certification or able to obtainMust be Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certified within 30 daysMust be professional at all times in grooming and communicationMust engage all (members, guests, fellow Ambassadors) in a polite and friendly mannerPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours with one lunch break and two ten-minute breaksMust be able to safely lift, carry, or transport food and drinks from kitchen to tableMust be able to grip silverware, dishware, and drinkware safelyMust be able to safely kneel, bend, twistMust be able to safely lift/carry up to 20 pounds max at one timeAVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work weekends and holidaysMust be able to work overtime in peak periodsMust be able to work varied shifts at different locations and with minimal or no supervisionWAGE AND BENEFITS:Hourly wage of $16.90- $21.00 /hour plus gratuitiesOne complementary employee meal per dayMartis Camp gear or uniforms may be provided when required for the positionAmbassador Recognition Activities and EventsWork Tango Recognition and Incentive ProgramsEligibility for Ambassador of the MonthFree Ambassador Golf & Tennis Clinics (when available)Retail Spa and Golf shop discountsScholarship OpportunitiesOther rewards and benefits as listed in the most recent Ambassador Handbook, subject to changePowered by JazzHR
