Role Description This is a full-time on-site position for a Cytogenetic Technologist, based in New Haven, CT. The individual in this role will be responsible for performing cytogenetic analyses, which include sample preparation, karyotyping, and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) procedures. Additional responsibilities include conducting quality control checks, analyzing results, collaborating with laboratory staff, and adhering to established laboratory protocols and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications Proficiency in Laboratory Skills, Laboratory Medicine, and the ability to work in a clinical laboratory environmentExperience or certification in ASCP and PathologyFamiliarity with Quality Control practices and proceduresAttention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of cytogenetic analysis techniques such as karyotyping and FISH is a plusBachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or a related fieldAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
