{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"263a75ab5c8252a42bd0d60d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/263a75ab5c8252a42bd0d60d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/263a75ab5c8252a42bd0d60d","title":"Master Scheduler","description":"US Farathane is seeking a Master Scheduler at our Austin, TX Location\nSummary:\nScheduler plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of industrial or commercial products by performing the following duties.\nJob Duties:\nDraws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.\nAnalyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements and maintain plant capacity data base.\nPlans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.\nPlans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.\nConfirm with department Supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.\nExpedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.\nSchedule production using Parts +.\nParticipates in Fast Response Meeting and be prepared to cover short ship issues and supply or customer increase issues.\nProvides part labels to Production based on production schedule.\nObserve inventory levels to determine if they need to be increased / decreased – always focus on inventory reductions.\nAssist in smooth transition of any supplier change or product change.\nPlan bank builds.\nAssist with capacity questionnaires as requested by customer(s).\nMaintain internal press capacity spreadsheet. Coordinate with production/engineering for sample runs.\nFollow through with ECN changes with quoting and bank build.\nAssist Corporate Purchasing with volumes and service reports.\nIt is the responsibility of all employees to take corrective actions for all nonconforming items identified by the employee.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as they relate to overall safe and efficient plant operation.\nSupervisory Responsibilities- In the event that this position becomes vacant, the Materials Manager or Material Analyst will resume responsibilities.\nEnvironmental Responsibilities- Cooperation with action team directives. Familiar with evacuation plans. Trained in clean-up modules. Familiar with Environmental plant postings.\nQualifications:\nEducation and/or Experience- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
