Team members who live within the U.S. but are not local within a commutable distance from one of our offices may work remotely, with occasional travel to an Experity office for meetings, team collaboration or as needed.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nLead Accounting Operations\n\nLead all aspects of the accounting function, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, revenue accounting, and month-end close.\n\nEnsure timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.\n\nOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities while improving consistency, quality, and efficiency.\n\nMaintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.\n\nBuild Operational Excellence\n\nEvaluate current accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.\n\nDesign and implement standardized processes that create consistency across the accounting organization.\n\nPartner with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues that impact customers, billing, invoicing, collections, and financial reporting.\n\nImprove the quality and reliability of accounting data through better workflows, documentation, and system utilization.\n\nDrive process discipline while maintaining a practical, customer-focused approach.\n\nStrengthen Systems and Controls\n\nOptimize the use of existing financial systems and identify opportunities for automation.\n\nDevelop appropriate controls that reduce risk while enabling efficient operations.\n\nEnsure accounting processes support a positive experience for customers and internal business partners.\n\nLead efforts to improve billing and invoicing accuracy, helping reduce customer friction and operational rework.\n\nBuild a High-Performing Team\n\nLead, coach, and develop an engaged accounting team through clear expectations, regular feedback, and meaningful development opportunities.\n\nFoster an empowered culture where team members take ownership, solve problems, and continuously improve how work gets done.\n\nBuild accountability while encouraging collaboration across Finance and the broader organization.\n\nDevelop future leaders and strengthen organizational capability.\n\nContinuous Improvement\n\nEstablish meaningful performance metrics for the accounting organization.\n\nCreate a culture of continuous improvement where processes are regularly evaluated and refined.\n\nPartner closely with the CFO to develop the roadmap toward a world-class accounting function capable of supporting the Company's long-term objectives.\n\nEducation and Experience:\n\nBachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.\n\n10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including experience leading accounting teams within a private equity environment preferred.\n\nExperience in software, SaaS, healthcare technology, healthcare services, or other complex, multi-entity environments preferred.\n\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition, and internal controls.\n\nDemonstrated success improving accounting operations, implementing standardized processes, and strengthening financial controls.\n\nExperience leading Netsuite ERP or accounting system improvements preferred.\n\nExcellent leadership, communication, and change management skills.\n\nAbility to balance strategic priorities with a willingness to be hands-on when needed.\n\nOwnership of PCAOB audit process and completion.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like:\n\nWithin the first 12–24 months, the Controller will have:\n\nBuilt trust in the accounting organization through consistent execution and strong leadership.\n\nImproved the accuracy and timeliness of invoicing and financial reporting.\n\nStandardized key accounting processes and documented critical procedures.\n\nStrengthened internal controls and reduced operational risk.\n\nDeveloped an engaged, accountable accounting team that proactively solves problems.\n\nImproved collaboration with internal stakeholders while helping create better experiences for our customers.\n\nEstablished the operational foundation for a world-class accounting organization capable of supporting Experity's future growth.\n\nTravel:\n\nAbility to travel as needed.\n\n#LI-REMOTE\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
