The role also includes various duties as assigned.\r\nMinimum Requirements\r\nAuthorized to work in the US and must pass a criminal background check.\r\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\r\nValid driver's license required.\r\nMust be at least 18 years old.\r\nAbility to read, write, and speak English for instructions and customer interaction.\r\nPass a criminal background check.\r\nPreferred Requirements\r\nHighly motivated with a positive attitude.\r\nWilling to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.\r\nAdheres to dress code policy.\r\nWorks efficiently under time constraints.\r\nAttends required training.\r\nBasic computer skills.\r\nAble to work in extreme weather conditions.\r\nTrainee status until successful completion of all practical and written curriculum.\r\nJob Duties\r\nLoad and unload baggage and co-mail of various weight and dimensions to and from aircraft and applicable airport baggage areas.\r\nOperate ground service equipment.\r\nMarshal aircraft to and from gates.\r\nProvide proper handling of baggage requiring special care.\r\nService aircraft lavatories.\r\nConduct aircraft security searches and commissary security searches as required.\r\nEnsure ramp areas are safe and free of foreign object debris (FOD) and that all ground service equipment is properly maintained.\r\nFollow safety regulations, including the proper use of equipment and wearing proper safety items.\r\nOperate heavy, motorized machinery/equipment such as tugs, tractors, belt loaders, bag carts, push-back tractors, deicers, etc.\r\nCommunicate using a two-way radio.\r\nUse effective communication skills, both verbal and written.\r\nPerform aircraft interior cleaning as required.\r\nStock aircraft and carts with necessary supplies such as inflight magazines and lavatory supplies.\r\nTrack inventory as required.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nStand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb and use hands and fingers to operate various tools and equipment. Lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs. and push or pull up to 300 lbs. May work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Exposure to heights, small spaces, extreme noise, temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in confined areas and crawl in and out of small spaces for extended periods. Wear personal protective gear.
